Leveraging Familioso Phenomenon in Your Workplace

The Latino population is growing at a rate of 84% and it provides an excellent culture of family both at home AND at work. This Familioso Phenomenon is defined by an incredible and organic sense of belonging, loyalty, trust, respect, cooperation and support among the immediate extended family members as well as close friends. It can be a blessing or a curse for employers. Those that don’t understand theLatino culture and this work ethic may find it challenging and counterproductive in the workplace.

Participants will take away several key points

  • Understand the need for proper translation & interpretation
  • Discover best practices from peers and community leaders
  • Leverage the energy of Familioso with youentire work community
  • Gain insight into managing a Latino workforce and use this knowledge to apply to all employees

Attendees will also receive a free copy of “Stop Knocking on My Door: Drama Free HR to Help Grow Your Business” as well as a free hour of HR/Latino consulting.

Breakfast will be provided from 7:30-8:00AM.  Session runs from 8:05 to 9:30AM.
This session has been submitted for 1.0 General Credit with HRCI and 1.0 PDC with SHRM for your professional development credits.
